MY STORY
Nine Chapters — One Life

The Life I'm
Building

Nine commitments. Not goals on a list — a blueprint for the person I am becoming. Slowly. Deliberately. Every single day.

Time — The Meta Resource

Before body, before money, before family — there is time. Everything else is downstream of it. You cannot manage your body without managing when you train and sleep. You cannot manage your money without managing when you review and plan. You cannot be present for your family if your time belongs to everything else.

Time is the only resource you cannot earn back, borrow, or buy. Every other chapter in this story depends on how well you manage this one.

The next day must be planned before it begins. Never wake up without knowing what the day holds. A day without a plan is a day that belongs to whoever shouts loudest.

Body

No time blocked for training = no training. No time blocked for sleep = no recovery. It doesn't happen by accident.

Family

If family time isn't in the plan, it gets eaten by whatever is urgent. Urgent is not the same as important.

Money

Financial review, tracking, planning — these require scheduled time. They do not happen on their own.

Grove

Water window is 07:00–16:00 Friday and Sunday. Miss the plan, miss the water. The trees don't wait.

Career

Shooting, editing, client work — these require dedicated time blocks. A creative business without a schedule becomes a hobby.

"Plan the month. Plan the week. Plan tomorrow — tonight. A life without a plan is not freedom. It is drift."

Act I — The Body
01

A Fit, Strong Body

The body is the most honest ledger you keep. It records, without commentary, what you have done consistently and what you have avoided. It is visible to everyone before you speak a single word — and people read it, whether they admit to or not.

A strong, healthy body signals that you are someone who follows through. And yes — it makes you attractive. That is not vanity. That is a real, legitimate reward for discipline. The body is not separate from the mission — it is the mission's engine.

Lift or move daily No processed food at home Walk — 30min minimum Track weight weekly No excuses about time

Walk — minimum 30 minutes daily

Non-negotiable. No weather excuse. No schedule excuse. This is the floor.

Weights — Monday, Wednesday, Friday

Three sessions a week. Barbell. Simple, consistent, progressive overload. These are the days you build.

Fasted walk — Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday

On non-weight days, walk first thing in the morning — before food. Fasted cardio burns fat, clears the head, and sets the tone for the day before the day has a chance to get away from you.

Environment design — hide the sweets

In closed boxes, out of sight. What you can't see, you don't eat on impulse.

Follow a meal plan

Structure removes daily decisions. Plan the week, eat the plan. No improvising at 8pm when you're tired.

Daily rudiments — you and Agapios

20 minutes every day. The purest example of the compound effect. Invisible daily, undeniable over months.

Say no to restaurants — no special occasion, no go

Restaurant food is oil-heavy, calorie-dense, and portion-distorted. A casual dinner out undoes days of clean eating. This is not about being unsociable — it is about protecting the work you put in every single day.

"You do not rise to the level of your goals. You fall to the level of your systems. Build a body system, not a motivation habit."

Act II — The Money
02

Money That Works for Me

You chose freedom over a salary. That means the financial discipline matters even more now — because no one is sending you a monthly paycheck automatically. Income is variable. The rules are the same. The stakes are higher.

The goal is not comfort. The goal is freedom. When you have 12 months of salary saved, no employer owns you. You negotiate differently. You leave when you want to. You take risks you couldn't otherwise afford.

1. Kill the debt

Everything else waits until this is done. Debt is money working against you every single day.

2. Track every euro

You cannot manage what you do not measure. Know where every euro goes, every month, without exception.

3. Build the gap — income vs spending

Always spend significantly less than you earn. The gap is where freedom lives. Widen it constantly.

4. Save 12 months salary — the freedom fund

Not a savings goal. A liberation fund. When you have a year of runway, no stupid employer has power over you.

5. Buy groceries at low prices — store them

Buy smart in bulk when prices are low. Small arbitrage, compounded over years, adds up to real money.

6. Monetize the Vavatsinia fields

Sell and move into REIT. Turn a dormant asset into a working one. Land that doesn't produce is not an asset — it's a liability with a view.

7. Investigate photovoltaics

Passive income and cost reduction. The numbers need to work — investigate before committing.

"Track your money the way you track a client project — same precision, same discipline, zero tolerance for vagueness."

Act III — The Family
03

Quality Time with Family

Time is the only non-renewable resource. You can earn more money. You cannot get back the years when Agapios is young. You cannot reclaim evenings spent scrolling instead of present.

Quality time is not quantity time. It's not being in the same room — it's being in the same moment. Phone face-down. Eyes on the people who chose you.

Morning — 10 minutes together

Breakfast without screens. One conversation that isn't logistics.

Evening — the real handover

When you walk through the door, leave work at the threshold.

Weekly — one full family day

No errands, no phone calls. A full day that belongs to them.

Monthly — something memorable

A trip, a new place, a shared experience. Memories are the ROI of presence.

Phone-free meals Weekly family day Bedtime ritual with Agapios Work stays at work
04

Taking Care of Polina

A strong partnership is not maintained by grand gestures. It's maintained by a thousand small ones — done consistently, over years, when no one is watching and nothing dramatic is happening.

The question is not "do I love her?" The question is: does she feel it, today?

Be her person

First, always

Before career moves, before the grove, before the next project — she is the one who chose to build this life with you. Act like it.

Notice the small things

Every day

What she's carrying. What she needs. What would make today easier for her.

Build together

Not parallel

The grove, the career, the future — bring her in as a partner, not as a recipient of updates.

"The best thing a father can do for his children is to love their mother well, visibly, and without embarrassment."

05

Raising Agapios

He is watching everything. Not what you say — what you do. The way you treat Polina. Whether you follow through on what you promise. Whether you show up for the things that matter.

You are not raising a child. You are building a man's first map of the world — what it means to work, to love, to face difficulty without collapsing.

You played
with him
You showed
him the grove
You kept
your word
He becomes
who you were
Outdoor time every week Read together Bring him to the grove Let him see you work hard

Lose weight — together

Not his problem alone. Walk with him. Eat better as a household. He follows what he sees at home.

Daily walks — father and son

Your 30 minutes and his movement at the same time. The conversations on a walk are the ones that matter.

Tie his shoelaces

12 years old — no judgement, just fix it. 10 minutes practice until it's automatic.

Drum practice — daily exercises

20 minutes every day beats 2 hours on Sunday. You check it daily.

School — you monitor

Regular check-ins on lessons and upcoming tests. Not hovering — knowing.

If he wants money, he works for it. Relatives' gardens, neighbours, small jobs — real payment for real service delivered. This is how a boy becomes a man who is never dependent on anyone. The skills above are not hobbies. They are assets.
Act IV — The Land & The Work
06

The Olive Grove

120 trees in rehabilitation. You are not gardening. You are building a long-term asset that will outlive you. Patient work now for compounding returns later — oil, nursery stock, a legacy for Agapios.

You are already doing the work. The trees are being watered. The road is being cleared. The field is clean. Now build the system around it.

Watering — Friday & Sunday, 07:00–16:00

Water is available those two days only. Go early — the window closes. Don't miss it.

Road clearing

Access road — weeds and brush. Passable, clean, respectable.

Water valve access — keep it clear

Always accessible. No excuses when the window is open.

Full field clearing — snake protection

Clear the entire area. Low vegetation = no habitat for snakes. This is safety, not just aesthetics.

Pest protection — Dakos (Bactrocera oleae)

Spraying schedule before the season hits. Dakos can destroy an entire harvest. Plan the treatment calendar now.

Fertilising — λίπασμα

Feed the trees as they recover. Build the fertilising schedule around the seasons.

Invest in irrigation hoses

Replace manual watering with a proper drip system. Time invested now saves hours every Friday and Sunday for years.

Water Fri & Sun — go early Road & field clear Dakos spray schedule Fertilise plan Drip irrigation investment Legacy for Agapios

"An olive tree planted by your grandfather feeds your grandson. There is no faster way to build something that matters."

07

Career & Growth

The night shifts are done. The accounting is done. You chose the harder thing — the right thing. Photography and video production, full time, on your own terms. No more trading hours for someone else's revenue targets at 3am.

You already have the eye. You already have the tools. Now you build the clients, the reputation, and the systems that make it a real business — not a side project.

Deliver fast — always

Price correctly

Don't race to the bottom. Charge what the work is worth. Cheap rates attract difficult clients.

Social presence — Instagram / Behance

Your portfolio lives online. Post consistently. Let the work find the clients.

Agapios learns alongside you

Photography, editing, video — these are his skills too. Teach him. One day he runs his own operation.

"You didn't leave the night shifts because it was comfortable. You left because you are building something real. Now prove it — every single day."

08

The Home — Clarity & Order

The environment you live in is a direct reflection of how you think. A cluttered home fragments attention before the day even starts. Rooms that breathe, surfaces that are clear — these are not aesthetic choices. They are mental infrastructure.

What clutter costs

  • Visual noise, daily friction
  • Can't find what you need
  • Feels heavy before you start
  • Unconscious stress, always on

What clarity gives back

  • Space to think and breathe
  • Everything has a place
  • Home feels like rest, not work
  • Energy for what actually matters

Throw things out — ruthlessly

If it hasn't been used in a year, it's not coming back. Every room, every drawer.

Storage room — full overhaul

Target: clean, dry, zero mould — maintained like a business stockroom, not a dumping ground.

Maintain what you clear

Once a space is cleared, it stays cleared. That's the new standard.

"Clarity of space is clarity of mind. You cannot think well in a room that is asking you silent questions."

Interlude — Know Yourself

Know Who You Are

Before the goals, before the discipline, before the war — there is a person. And that person has character. Don't lose him in the grind.

You are someone who thinks in systems. You see a frame before you press the shutter. You hear the edit before you touch the timeline. Photography and video are not jobs you fell into — they are how you see the world. That instinct is not common. Own it.

You love multimedia — the edit, the frame, the sound, the story told through a screen. You hear music differently. Heavy metal is not noise to you — it is architecture. Power, precision, controlled aggression. Drums are not just an instrument. They are a physical argument for discipline.

You love animals. Especially cats — their independence, their honesty, their refusal to perform for anyone. You understand that instinctively.

You love nature. The olive grove is not a project — it is an extension of who you are. Soil, trees, seasons, patience. You belong in that field as much as in a spreadsheet.

Sports call to you — hiking, padel, archery. These are not hobbies to schedule someday. They are part of the full version of you. Make room for them.

This is not a small character. This is a person worth becoming fully.

The Battles

The Battles You're Fighting

Some enemies are obvious. Some wear the disguise of entertainment, comfort, or a moment of weakness when you're tired and alone. Name them. Only what is named can be fought.

The wins this year are real: you walk. You eat better. You show up for Polina and Agapios in ways you didn't a year ago. The marriage is stronger. You are building something real.

Some battles need to be fought more than once. That doesn't make you weak. It makes you someone who keeps showing up.

The person
you're becoming

Overeating

Food used as comfort, not fuel. It shows. It costs energy, confidence, and health silently and daily.

Artificial stimulation — fake images

A fake image will never be Polina. It hijacks the senses, dulls real desire, and replaces real life with a screen. Every time you choose the real thing over the fake substitute, you win a battle most people don't even admit they're fighting.

Endless social media scrolling

Designed by engineers to be unputdownable. It converts your attention, your time, and your mood into someone else's revenue. Every minute on the scroll is a minute not spent on Agapios, the grove, the drums, the career. The phone is a tool. Use it like one.

"Every choice is a vote for the person you are becoming. You don't need a perfect streak — you need a clear direction and the discipline to keep returning to it."

Say no to restaurant invitations — unless there is a real occasion.

Restaurant food is cooked in oil, hidden calories, and portion sizes designed for pleasure, not fuel. A casual "let's eat out" is not a social obligation — it is a quiet vote against everything you are building in the kitchen and the gym. Protect your food environment the same way you protect your time. A polite no is not antisocial. It is self-respect.
The War

The War

This is not a metaphor. This is an actual war — fought daily, in private, against enemies that don't announce themselves.

Comfort is a killer. It arrives quietly, dressed as rest, as reward, as "just this once." It whispers that you've done enough, that you deserve a break, that tomorrow is fine. And slowly, without drama, it takes everything.

The winner is never the most talented. The winner is the one who stays longest. The one who gets hit, goes down, and gets up again. The one who receives punch after punch — and does not quit. That person wins by default, because everyone else stopped.

Do not seek entertainment. Do not seek comfort. Seek the hard thing. Confront what you want to avoid. Do the thing you are postponing. Walk toward the resistance, not away from it.

You will fall. Fall correctly — forward. Get up faster each time. The fall is not the failure. Staying down is.

Do not seek validation

The need for other people's approval is a leash — and someone else holds it. You do not need permission to be right. You do not need applause to keep going. Build, and let the results speak.

Do not people-please

Saying yes when you mean no is not kindness — it is self-abandonment, repeated until you disappear. Your time, your energy, your peace are not unlimited. Protect them.

Fight those who damage you

You are not bad for recognising that some people drain you, cross your lines, or take without giving. You do not need to hate them or hurt them. But you do not stay quiet. You set your boundary. You say the thing that needs to be said.

Speak when you need to speak

Silence in the wrong moment is not peace — it is surrender. Say the hard thing. Calmly, firmly, without apology. Your voice is part of your integrity.

"Discipline is not motivation. Motivation comes and goes like weather. Discipline is the decision made in advance — before the weakness arrives — that you will do it anyway. No mood required."

Fight. Every day.

Priority Order — Do These in Sequence
01

Kill the debt. Everything else waits. Debt is money working against you every single hour.

02

Track every euro. Use a spreadsheet, an app, anything. Know exactly where money goes every month.

03

Widen the gap. Income minus spending = freedom potential. Make this number bigger constantly.

04

Save 12 months salary. Not a savings goal — a freedom fund. No employer owns a person with 12 months runway.

The Freedom Fund — Why 12 Months
This is about power, not savings.

When you have 12 months of salary in the bank, you walk into every performance review differently. You leave a toxic situation without panic. You take a career risk without betting the family's security. You are never at the mercy of someone else's bad decision about your employment. This single number changes your relationship with work permanently.

Start — 10 mother plants (~25€)

Buy certified Echeveria. These are your stock. Never sell them — they produce everything else.

Month 1–6 — propagate from leaves

Pull leaves, lay on dry soil, wait. Each leaf becomes a new plant. Zero additional cost. Almost zero water.

Month 6–12 — first sales batch

80–150 plants ready. Sell at 3–8€ each. Bazaraki, Facebook, florists, street market.

The Principles
01

Progressive overload. Add a little weight or a rep each week. This is the only way muscles grow.

02

Form before weight. A heavy lift done wrong builds injuries, not muscle.

03

Rest 60–90 seconds between sets. The rest is part of the stimulus.

04

Train consistently for 3 months before evaluating results. The first month is just learning movements.

The Compound Effect in Action
Week 1Month 1Month 3Month 6Month 12+

Day to day nothing seems to change. Then around month 3 the curve bends — and it bends fast. True for rudiments, for fitness, for everything worth building.

"Twenty minutes every day beats two hours on Sunday. The daily rep is proof to yourself that you follow through."

Agapios — His Practice
Same rudiments. Same session. You check it daily.

He does his 20 minutes. You verify. Not because you distrust him — because accountability at 12 is how discipline is built. When he can't see progress, you point to the compound effect chart. The curve doesn't bend yet — but it will.
20

Minutes per day. Every day. No days off.

60

BPM starting tempo. Slow is smooth. Smooth is fast.

3

Core rudiments to master before moving on to the next.

The return on daily practice. Unmeasurable until it suddenly isn't.
